Bio-fouling
Anyone who has spent time in or around a marina will have witnessed the effects of bio-fouling – the unwanted plant or animal growth that occurs on virtually any object that is left in the water. This growth is a multimillion dollar problem to the shipping industry, where it is controlled by use of anti-fouling paints. However, not all materials are suitable for painting.
This is where the SuricleTM treatment can help.
The photo below shows a valuable scientific instrument that is used to monitor water flow in rivers or oceans. After 12 weeks deployment, the instrument is barely recognisable. This is a typical scenario for many marine assets.
